ImageSilo - Enforcing Index Field Relationships

Index Field Relationships can be enforced during searching, adding/scanning, and altering index fields. There are options for soft enforcements, hard enforcements, and just turning them off. This way users can be forced to search up specific data between two or more fields.

To get there we must have admin access, a user is not allowed to make these changes on their own.

Click on your name in the top right and select “Administration”.

On the window that starts up you want to expand projects and select the projects with which already has field relationships created. After selecting the project select index field relationships at the top.

Enforcement is located at the bottom and we are able to make changes based on where we want our relationships exist.

Searching - Will affect a user when they are trying to search for a document.

Adding/Scanning - Will affect a user when they are trying to add a document.

Altering Index Fields - Will affect a user when they are changing an index field for a document.

There are 3 options inside of the drop down for each.

Not Used - Turns off the list for the specified action, in case it needs to be disabled for one action but not the others.

Offer List Selection - Allows the user to type in a value as well as letting them select from a list with premade values

Require List Selection - Disables the user to type in a value, only allowing them to select from a premade list.

These will apply to whatever field is inside the Field Relationship Order box.

Press “Save” after making the changes, and make sure to have users refresh in order to see the changes made.
