ImageSilo - Searching Using Wildcard Values

In this article we will review how to search using Wildcard values in ImageSilo.

You are able to use these on any index field in your project.

The only thing you have to do is use the asterisk, which is the special character ImageSilo uses to denote a wildcard value.

You can use this when you aren’t sure what comes before or after a certain value.

You could be looking for an account number ending in 1266, but aren’t sure what the first numbers are. All you would need to do is search for *1266 in the Account Number field (or whichever field you are using) in your project.

You can use the wildcard, at the beginning, middle, or end of any search criteria.

In the example below I am searching for any invoices that begin with the number “1”. See the results below to view how it works!

Note how only invoices beginning with the number “1” are coming back in the search results.

Use this on your own project to see how it works and assist in searching for records you aren’t 100% sure about!
