PVE - Empty the Recycle Bin

In this article we will review how to empty the Recycle Bin in your PaperVision Enterprise entity.

This will permanently delete any documents within the Recycle Bin.

In PaperVision Enterprise when documents are deleted, they are sent to the Recycle Bin. This acts as a holding spot for items in case they need to be restored.

Once they are removed from the Recycle Bin they are permanently lost and no longer able to be restored.

First, you will login to PaperVision Enterprise with your administrator-level account, and then click on your name in the top-right and go to “Administration”.

You will then expand the “Projects” menu on the left-hand side, and select the project you would like to empty the Recycle Bin for. Each project has its own individual Recycle Bin.

This will now bring up the Project properties menu. Up at the top-right in the toolbar you should see an icon with a Recycle Bin labeled “Empty”.

Click this button to begin emptying the recycle bin. You will then be asked to select a date in which documents had to be in the Recycle Bin in order to be deleted.

Any documents in the recycle bin before this date will be emptied and permanently removed. Click “Save” to finalize the process.
