Summary

Index fields are cleared when an image’s orientation is changed during verification and validation. 

Cause

This is caused by replacing or moving pages in a document. If a document goes to Quality Control after the index values are populated, any changes to the pages of a document will cause the index values to be removed.

The Validation module would need be run again after a batch is sent to Quality Control. If the document is not re-processed in Validation, it is possible to release a document with no values.

Answer/Solution

You can change this behavior via a setting in Administration. In the Administration Module, go to Batch|Class|Properties|Advanced, uncheck the check box " Clear index fields on pages that are replaced or moved ", republish, and the effects will take place on all new batches.
