Kofax - Scan module doesn't start anymore

Summary

Some users are not able to start the Scan module anymore. Nothing happens, there are no error messages. How can we solve this?

Answer/Solution

 Please do the following:

  1. Open regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kofax Image Products\Workflow Independent Capture\Ascent Capture - Scan

  2. Export the folder Ascent Capture - Scan.

  3. Delete the folder Ascent Capture - Scan.

  4. Restart Scan.
