PVE - Run Website Creation Wizard

Sometimes the PVE website may need to be re-installed due to bad credentials, change in configuration or you skipped the installation prior. This is only needed if an article or technician recommends the re-installation of the PVE Website.

Running the Wizard

Getting Started

  1. You will need to log on to the server that has PaperVision Enterprise installed.

  2. You’ve picked an IP endpoint and port you wish to use for PVE traffic.

  3. If you’re not hosting any other websites over the default HTTP port 80, you can rebind the default site to something else and use port 80 in your wizard.

Run the Website Creation Utility

It is recommended to run the wizard under the service account that will be used by the PVE Website and automation services. Basic rights should have access to the database for PVE, read/write to IIS configuration and files.

If you installed PVE under a different location, adjust the command below to reflect on the proper location for the wizard utility.

  1. Open a command prompt as an administrator.

  2. Navigate to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Digitech Systems\PaperVision\Common” folder.

  3. Enter the following command below to run the wizard:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Digitech Systems\PaperVision\Common\DSI.PVEConfiguration.Utility.exe" /createsite
  1. Follow the prompt as usual to create your PVE website and Auth Gateway(if necessary).
