Global Licenses

Global licenses grants an entire database for unlimited entities and features.

Entity Licenses

Entity license covers a single entity for an unlimited number of users of that entity.

Concurrent License

Concurrent Licenses are tailored towards individual users who will perform processing with a User Interface and not automated processes.

A single concurrent license grants an operator access to log into PaperVision Capture Operator Console at a time.

For example: Having 3 concurrentt licenses permits three users to be logged into the operator console at the same time. This option offers greater flexibility beyond having a single entity licensed.

A concurrent license for a specific feature is also consumed when a user works on a manual step in the PaperVision Capture Operator Console that requires a license for the specific feature. The license can be released when a user logs out and or when the session times out or is terminated by an administrator.

Named Licenses

Named Licenses are tailored towards a computer or server that runs automated jobs to process batches rather than a concurrent user session.

Named licenses permits an automation service on a computer to utilize features within PaperVision Capture to process active batches that utilize a job with licensed features.

You have a variety of different products that are either separately licensed or licensed altogether.

Some examples are below:

  • Capture Scan

  • Capture Index

  • Capture Barcode 1D

  • Capture Image Processing

  • Capture Scan, Index, Barcode 1D, OCR, Image Processing

To use these licenses, you can follow the steps for applying named licenses from PVC - Add and Authorize Licenses | Applying Named Licenses.
