Enhancements
New Quick Click technology allows you to simply click on the words in the document image that you want to input into an index field. (TT #5143, 5219, 7214)
Quick Click includes the ability to append index field data which allows users to quickly add multiple values to an index field. Note that an OCR Zonal license is required to generate Quick Click data in an Indexing step.
Users can limit Quick Click data generation to a specific page range.
Added a new job step "Quick Click OCR" which allows you to generate Quick Click data in an automated step so the user doesn't have to wait for the data. Note that this has licensing implications as the OCR license for an automated step is consumed when a batch is created at the Capture step.
Added "Logging Configuration" to Global Administration - System Settings in the Admin Console and to the Operator Console - Options. This allows an admin or a user to configure the applicable level of logging needed without having to update configuration files manually. They can also choose the level of logging to be performed and can have those log files generated as a log, file, or even an email automatically sent to someone specifically with any detailed data. (TT #5793)
Added the ability to add redaction zones in the Operator Console using any manual steps. (TT #7808)
Exported color .TIFF images now use the "JpegInTiff" format. (TT #7848)
Index and Detail Fields can be configured as hidden or read-only fields to specific users and/or groups at a step level. (TT #7922)
The Image Stamping feature that is part of the General Business Rules no longer requires a license. (TT #7967)
Custom configuration files can now be copied from one release version to the next version. Note that the new Logging options will not work with older configuration files. (TT #7986)
Added the ability to set and read imprinter settings from any scanner that enables imprinting. (TT #8042)
PaperVision Capture supports imprinting using the following counters;
1. Scanner (Default), the counts are stored and managed by the scanner.
2. Local Machine, which counts clicks across the whole machine including all batches and users.
3. Windows User, which counts clicks for the user currently logged into Windows. PaperVision Capture User, which counts clicks for the Capture user logged into the client.
4. Batch, the count is stored at the batch-level and is specific to that batch. If a user starts the counter at 1 and increments by 1, it will be equal to the number of pages scanned into the batch. This counter is stored as a user file and moves with the batch just like all user files.
Users can enable imprinting directly from the scanner settings screen, and can choose to imprint the Count value, Batch Name, User Name, or Job Name onto each document.
Administrators can choose to save imprinted values as QC Page tags which allows users to retrieve the imprint count stamped on the page.
Users can set a Start and Increment amount for each counter. Note that the scanner will limit this functionality for the Scanner counter. Administrators can also choose to limit the use of this functionality through Job Settings.
Added Integrated secure FTP capabilities to ImageSilo.
Added the ability to split a batch out based on Image Type, specifically bitonal (black & white) versus color.
Administrators can configure a batch split step without having to first check the job in and then back out.
Batch Split configurations are no longer removed when exporting a job.
Added a new User Option "Force Black/White Import" to fix an issue where importing some black & white PDFs were being read as Color PDFs and inflating the size of the PDF on import. This option will apply to Batch or Image Imports, and images imported in through a Native Documents step. (TT #7834)
Native Documents has been updated so that when the "Skip Errant Files" option is selected, email and zip files will move the entire container to the exception directory. (TT #8017)
