ImageSilo - Modifying an existing index field

Index fields that already exist on a ImageSilo project can be modified to fit changes that may need to be made to data. For example if the date format needs to be changed from MM/DD/YYYY to YYYY/MM/DD.

Indexing will involve the use of the Administration option.

Once you are logged into ImageSilo, click your username in the top right and choose “Administration” to open the administration window.

We will want to expand “Projects” and then select the project whose index field needs to be modified.

A screen on the right will appear with indexes for that project.

For the list of indexes that have appeared choose what needs to be modified by double clicking, note that the Field Type will be dimmed and cannot be modified.

In the General Tab you can modify Field Name, Field Format, Required, and Workflow Trigger.

The Wildcards Tab can be modified to add wildcards to the index.

The values tab can be modified to switch between user input and a premade dropdown.

After making the changes to the field click “Save” and users will need to refresh for any changes that were made.
