PaperVision Client - System Out of Memory Exception
You’re trying to view a document and you come across an error from your PaperVision Client with Exception of type ‘System.OutOfMemoryException’ was thrown error message. This article will help you troubleshoot and provide alternative steps to acquire your document.

Possible Causes
The document is too massive in size for the application to handle.
We’ve seen a 431 MB document cause this error which also impacts the web-based viewer.
Your computer has ran out of memory.
The document format is not supported.
Solutions
Check Out the Document for Immediate Viewing
This section assumes you have the right to check out and export documents if you’re willing to download and display the document outside of the viewer.
If you need to view the document right now, you can check out the document to view outside of ImageSilo.
Web Based Method (Recommended)
We recommend to use the web based viewer to not put stress on your local resources and have ImageSilo deliver your file directly.
You can change your preference by following our Switch Between Viewers article.
Afterwards, open the document on the website and click Check Out. Your browser should prompt or automatically download the PDF document from ImageSilo/PVE.
PaperVision Client
If your client did not crash or freeze, you still have achance to checkout the document through the client.
Click Edit tab.
Click Check Out.
The viewer will ask you where to save the file.
Choose a location where you have plenty of disk space.
Once you’ve checked out the document and are able to view it in your PDF viewer, click “Undo” to undo your checkout so others can view the document as needed.
Submit Document for Migration and Split Document
This only applies to administrators of an entity or PaperVision Enterprise system.
If checking out a document is not an option or failed, you can submit the document for migraiton and acquire the document from the output of the migraiton job.
Once acquired, you can use your preferred tool to either compress or split the document into multiple documents and re-upload to the project.
