ECMToolbox Security

ECM Toolbox Workflow includes security features such as user management, user groups, and document level security for authorization.

User may be defined as ECM Toolbox built-in accounts or be imported from a Windows Active Directory server or DMS system.

Groups are important as they supply the privileges for the member users. Groups are defined by the administrator.

Implementing Security

ECM Toolbox Workflow provides built in accounts, and Active Directory Integration, as well as supporting other authentication providers such as:

  • ApplicationXtender Accounts

  • PaperVision Enterprise / Imagesilo Accounts

Account names and emails can be imported from these providers and can authenticate the user with the provider’s password. To import users from a provider, the provider must be configured in the Administration’s System Settings page.
