ECMT AIM - Workflow Duplicate Prevention

In this article we will go over using the Duplicate Prevention feature in AIM which is applied with the iCondition in Workflow Designer. The settings for the following will be located in the “Settings” tab in AIM.

The first type we have is the Workflow Duplicate Prevention.

Workflow Duplicate Prevention will check if the fields selected in one Workflow Task exactly matches the fields in another Workflow Task. In the example above where “VENDOR NAME” and “ID” are selected if both those fields show up in multiple Workflow Tasks an error message will pop up.

If we only want Duplicate Prevention for one field that can be selected by selecting the same field for both Workflow Field 1 and Workflow Field 2.

The second type of Workflow Duplicate Prevention is AX Duplicate Prevention.

This will check if the 2 different AX Fields have the same value and pop up with an error message if they are the same. In the case from the image above if “BATCH NAME” and “VENDOR NAME” are both have the same value then that will catch.
