By default, SYSOP is blocked from logging in remotely from the server. This procedure will show you how to enable the SYSOP account to login to Web Access outside of the server.

To allow SYSOP to login remotely on Web Access from another machine, you will have to modify a value inside the web.config file of Appxtender. The folder is located on c:\inetpub\wwwroot as long as the installation path was not changed during the installation wizard.

This change will require an IIS restart, which will restart and refresh the Appxtender web pages. Please make sure that no one is logged in while making the change.

Inside the web.config file, search for “<!--Allow SYSOP user login to Web Access remotely.-->” and below that comment will be the setting to make the change.

Change the value from “false” to “true” and then save the file.

Run a “iisreset” in an elevated command prompt running as admin, then try and login as SYSOP remotely.
