TeleForm - Internal Database Connection Information Change
Note: This article only applies to the TeleForm internal database, NOT any other database used for Exports, Database validations, or any other operations. Before making any changes, it is recommended to backup all data.
There are two ways to change the Teleform database information:
- Run a re-install (in a multi-user environment, reinstall on the server)
Or
- Shut down all TeleForm Applications and Services.
- Remove the TFOLEData.dat from your TeleForm directory.
- Copy the attached TFOLEData.udl to your TeleForm directory.
- Double click on the TFOLEData.udl to open it.
- In the Data Link properties, set the correct database connection information for
the database server, the database user and password, and the database. Make sure
that you check the “Allow Password Saving”. Test the connection to make sure it
can successfully connect.
6. Click OK to save this information. When you close the Data Link dialog, you will
receive a warning message stating that you have choose to save your password,
and it will be saved in plain text. Click Yes on this dialog. TeleForm will encrypt
this data for you.
7. Start TeleForm. When you start TeleForm, it will read this information, and rewrite it to TFOLEData.dat.
