Instructions to setup a default Scanner on Kofax

Getting Started

Be sure that...

• You have administration rights to Kofax
• The scanner drivers are installed
• The scanner is on and hooked up to the workstation during the time of configuration

Load Kofax

Kofax will need to be configured with a new scanner profile. 

To do so navigate to the start menu -> Kofax Capture -> Scanner Configuration Utility 

1.    Expand the Scanners folder and go down to the make of the scanner
2.    Expand and look for the model of the scanner that will be used
3.    Select the scanner and click “set as default” 
4.    Click close 

Load Kofax and try to scan documents from the scanner and verify if the documents scan into Kofax successfully.
