ApplicationXtender - Update SMTP Settings
In this article we will review how to update the SMTP settings for your ApplicationXtender environment.
This SMTP information and email address is used when sending emails from ApplicationXtender when viewing a document and any other locations where an email is being sent.
Login to your ApplicationXtender Administration website
You will need sufficient access permissions to login to this site
If you do not have access you will need to contact your System Administrator
Navigate to Server Management → Web Access Server → Email Setup
Modify current SMTP information as needed
Click “Save” at the bottom when finished modifying
Next you will need to open the “Component Registration Wizard” on the ApplicationXtender Server
Select “Register”
Click “Next” and then select the “Web Access Server” and complete the registration
This will re-register the Web Access Server and ensure that the changes made to the SMTP information is applied across all users.
Finally, we will need to run an IISRESET on the ApplicationXtender server from the Command Line
Please note! The IISRESET will restart the website and kick out all current users in the system. Please conduct this procedure after hours or during a maintenance window as to not impact any production processes!
