ECMToolbox - Importing and Exporting Workflows
Before importing a workflow definition, ensure that:
The destination Workflow is connected to the same Document Management system, and
the application/project has the same exact field names and data types.No users are actively working in the destination workflow.
Disclaimer
Workflow User and Queue permissions are not included in the definitions file, you will
have to assign rights after the import process.Existing data in the destination workflow will be marked as deleted.
Existing Work items and work instances do not carry over in the definitions file.
Exporting a Workflow
Login to ECMToolbox Workflow.
Under the Administration Category, click “Workflow Designer”.
Look for the Workflow to export, and click “More…”, then “Export”. (See the illustration
to the left).The browser will download a definitions file to your system.
Importing a Workflow
Login to ECMToolbox Workflow.
Under the Administration Category, click “Workflow Designer”.
Look for the Workflow to export, and click “More…”, then “Import”.
The browser will prompt for the file to import.
Select the file you downloaded and click “OK”.
ECMToolbox will validate the file and will provide a message indicating if it was successful
or not.If the import fails, ECMToolbox will point out the problem with the definitions file and or
fields.
