Saving a Document into Easyfile from a Basket

Baskets in Easyfile are objects that facilitate multiple scenarios.

  1. The scanning of documents by one user and indexing by another.

  2. The scanning of a large amount of pages, constituting multiple documents, into one document which can then be broken out when indexing.

After documents have been saved to a basket, they can be indexed at any time through the Easyfile Connector.

Logging into the Easyfile Connector brings you to the Cabinet/Document Page Choose the appropriate cabinet on the left side, and fill in the indexing information.

Click the Basket choice on the Document side of the screen and click Browse Basket.

Any created baskets appear. Click the appropriate basket name to see any open documents. Click the Open button.

At this point there are 2 options. Either save the entire document into Easyfile or break the document into multiple documents by only saving a subset of the entire document at a time.

In the graphic below, there is a 73 page document which can be saved as the entire document by clicking the Save button.

Setting a page range before saving allows the pages to be saved and indexed into multiple documents. The indexing information can change with each save as can the cabinet.

Above the Save button are the Page options. Previous, Range and All Pages.

Click the Range button and enter the range. After the Save is complete, the document will reappear with the remaining pages ready for indexing again.

So below, the document has 73 pages. If the range is the 1st 2 pages, after saving, the document will reappear with 71 pages. The first 2 pages will not be listed anymore.
