ImageSilo requests to download PVWA even though it is already running

  • This is an ongoing issue occurring on multiple clients ever since R81.

Solution 1 - Change to use direct launch

Have the client follow these steps

  1. Login into Imagesilo and try to open a document
  2. When the error dialog appears select "Use Direct Launch" then click "OK"
  3. Attempt to open a document again, note that it will take a minute or two to open the viewer for the first time.

Ask the client to let us know if these steps were successful

Solution 2 - Change to use web browser(last resort)

Warning

Ask if the user scans into Imagesilo using Papervision Web Assistant, if they do, you cannot apply this solution as they will need Papervision Web Assistant installed.

Have the user move over to the web based viewer following the steps below

  1. Login to ImageSilo and go to the left navigation bar and click "System Settings"
  2. Click "User Options"
  3. Click "Document Viewing" tab and click "Use Browser-based viewer"
