Summary
The Kofax Capture Batch Removal and Export Utility can be used to backup batches, or migrate in flight batches to a new Kofax environment.
How to Use (CASO Kofax Environment)
Note: Must be a local administrator to open the application
- Open the KC Batch Removal Utility.
- On the "Batches" tab, select the batch you want to backup.
- Open File Explorer and navigate to \\tx-nas\tx-nas\kofax\batchbackups.
- Open the Batch Class folder for the Batch you’re backing up.
- If the folder doesn’t exist, create the folder and name it the Batch Class name.
Note: The name of the folder should be the Batch Class Name, not the Batch Name. Example: Eanes ISD – Student Records, Bexar County JP 1, or Alamo College IP.
- If the folder doesn’t exist, create the folder and name it the Batch Class name.
- Open the current year folder.
- Open the current month folder.
- Create a new folder inside the

- Open the folder you just created and copy the UNC path to that folder.

- On the "Options" tab of the KC Batch Removal Utility:
- Select "Backup Batch Images".
- Replace the C:\Users\username\Documents\My KC Backup path with the UNC path you copied in step 3d.
- Select "Create Batch XML Files in".
- Replace the C:\ACXMLAID path with the UNC path you copied in step 3d.
- Uncheck "Unreleased Documents Only", this is checked by default.
- Select "Preserve Batches Batches will not be removed from Kofax Capture)".
- Select "Backup Batch Images".
- Click Process to start the backup.
- Click Batch > Process or click the green button below batch at the top.
- Click Batch > Process or click the green button below batch at the top.
- Navigate to the backup location and ensure the backup was successful.
