Summary

The Kofax Capture Batch Removal and Export Utility can be used to backup batches, or migrate in flight batches to a new Kofax environment.

How to Use (CASO Kofax Environment)

Note:  Must be a local administrator to open the application

  1. Open the KC Batch Removal Utility.
  2. On the "Batches" tab, select the batch you want to backup.

  3. Open File Explorer and navigate to \\tx-nas\tx-nas\kofax\batchbackups.
    1. Open the Batch Class folder for the Batch you’re backing up.
      1. If the folder doesn’t exist, create the folder and name it the Batch Class name. 

        Note:  The name of the folder should be the Batch Class Name, not the Batch Name.  Example: Eanes ISD – Student Records, Bexar County JP 1, or Alamo College IP.

    2. Open the current year folder.
    3. Open the current month folder.

    2. Open the folder you just created and copy the UNC path to that folder.

  1. On the "Options" tab of the KC Batch Removal Utility:
    1. Select "Backup Batch Images".
      1. Replace the C:\Users\username\Documents\My KC Backup path with the UNC path you copied in step 3d.

    2. Select "Create Batch XML Files in".
      1. Replace the C:\ACXMLAID path with the UNC path you copied in step 3d.

    3. Uncheck "Unreleased Documents Only", this is checked by default.
    4. Select "Preserve Batches Batches will not be removed from Kofax Capture)".

  2. Click Process to start the backup.
